The Administration of the Lithuanian Bar Association organises, coordinates and implements decisions taken by bodies of the Lithuanian Bar Association and provides services to advocates and advocates’ assistants. The Administration is headed by the Chairperson of the Bar Council.
The Administration of the Lithuanian Bar Association assists in carrying out the main functions of the Lithuanian Bar Association:
- to coordinate advocates’ activities (acceptance, administration of documents, requests, file management, archiving, preparation of extracts, development of the activity of improvement of advocates’ qualification, coordination of advocates’ exams, etc.);
- to represent advocates’ interests in state institutions, international and foreign organisations;
- to present conclusions on draft legal acts in connection with the implementation of a person's right to a fair trial.
